[Changes of the expression of beta1-adrenergic receptor and M2-muscarinic acetylcholine receptor in rat hearts after high power microwave radiation].

In rats exposed to S-band high power microwave radiation (mean power density ~2 to 90 mW/cm^2), exposures over 10 mW/cm^2 were associated with dose-dependent myocardial structural injury (r=0.968, P<0.05). beta1-AR expression increased on day 1 post-radiation…

Electrophysiological modeling study of ECG T-wave alternation caused by ultrahigh static magnetic fields.

A magneto-hydrodynamics model suggested that ultrahigh static magnetic fields could reduce blood volume flow rate in the human aorta by more than 10%, which the authors propose may lead to an anoxia condition of acute ischemia. Using an ionic-based ventricula…

Study of the Effects of 50Hz Homogeneous Magnetic Field on Expression of Bax, Bcl-2 and Caspase-3 of SNU Cells In Vitro.

Compared with control, all 50 Hz magnetic field exposure groups (0.097 T; 5–120 min) showed higher Bax and Caspase-3 expression and lower Bcl-2 expression by flow cytometry, immunocytochemical staining, and Western blot.

Effects of 50Hz Homogeneous Ferromagnetic Field on the Concentrations of Intracellular Calcium-ion of SNU Cells and Lymphma Cells In Vitro.

SNU cells and human peripheral blood lymphocytes showed increased intracellular calcium-ion concentration after exposure to a 50 Hz homogeneous ferromagnetic field (0.097 T) across different exposure time periods.

Effects of 1800 MHz GSM Radiation on Human Monocytes and Trombocytes Membrane Anisotropy.

In experiments exposing human blood monocyte and thrombocyte cell populations to 1800 MHz continuous-wave microwave radiation at a power level described as low enough to be considered athermal, microwave irradiation was reported to favor a decrease in cell me…

The influence of electromagnetic field irradiated by high-voltage transmission lines on properties of cells.

Rats were exposed to fields from high-voltage transmission lines (4000 V/m and 0.09–0.1 G) for about 400 days. The authors report differences in phospho-STAT3 expression and that FT-IR spectra of G-proteins differed between exposed and control groups, interpr…
