Effects of paternal 5G RFR exposure on health of male offspring mice

Research RF Safe Research Library Jan 1, 2025

This animal study examined whether paternal exposure to 4.9 GHz (5G) radiofrequency radiation affects male offspring in C57BL/6 mice. It reports increased anxiety-like behavior and reduced sperm quality in adult F1 males from exposed fathers, alongside reported LRGUK hypermethylation and reduced LRGUK expression in testes. The abstract reports no significant effects on depression-like behavior, learning/memory, or fertility across F1–F2 generations.

Experimental Study of Animal Behavior under the Influence of the Electromagnetic Field of the 5G Mobile Communication Standard

Research RF Safe Research Library Jan 1, 2024

This pilot animal study exposed mature male Wistar rats to 4.9 GHz electromagnetic fields described as 5G-standard, for 15 days (2 hours/day) in a semi-anechoic shielded chamber. Open-field testing found no clear behavioral differences between unmodulated and modulated exposures. Statistically significant behavioral changes occurred in both exposed and control animals, which the authors attribute to changes in the environmental electromagnetic background, making causal interpretation uncertain.

Effects of radiofrequency field from 5G communication on fecal microbiome and metabolome profiles in mice

Research RF Safe Research Library Jan 1, 2024

This animal study exposed adult male C57BL/6 mice to a 4.9 GHz radiofrequency field for three weeks (1 hour/day) and compared them with a sham group. The abstract reports altered fecal microbiome composition with reduced diversity in the RF group, along with 258 significantly differentially abundant fecal metabolites. The authors conclude that 4.9 GHz RF exposure is associated with changes in gut microbiota and metabolic profiles and call for further EMF safety research.
